Board Positions
 

President

The position of President is responsible for the daily operation of the Nob Ridge HOA, handling / negotiating contracts, managing the budget, handling HOA member issues, and to improve the value of the Nob Ridge HOA while being fiscally responsible.  Also, the position works as the liaison with the various committees and reports back to the Board of Directors.  Additionally, the President is responsible for the running of all Quarterly and Annual meetings.

Vice President

This position is responsible for acting on behalf of the HOA President when he/she is not available and aiding the President with various projects.


Treasurer

The position of the Treasurer is to account for all the expenses of the HOA, provide budget, expense and account reports, collect annual dues, and to file Tax Returns.  Also, the position is responsible for working with the HOA President to prepare the annual budget for approval by the Board of Directors.  Additionally, the Treasurer will be responsible for maintaining all contracts that are let on behalf of the HOA.

 

Secretary

The position of Secretary is responsible for recording the minutes of meetings, prepare the minutes for approval, and to keep the official records of the HOA.

Member At Large

This member of the board may be elected because he/she has an area of expertise helpful to the Board. In this case, one of the duties is to educate and help the Board stay on the right track while the members discuss the expansion.

​

He/she fills duties that do not fall under the scope of the officers or that the officers may not have time to fully manage. He/she often heads up committees and special projects. He/she may research some aspect of association business. The member at large is an important communication link between the Board and committees that consist of community volunteers. He/she keeps the HOA Board updated and provide recommendations on research and committee projects.

Because the Member At Large serves on the Board and is familiar with the business, it is an excellent training ground for moving into other positions on the Board or filling in for a current officer who is unable to fulfill his/her duties.

 

Committee Chairs

 

Architectural Review Committee (ARC) Chair

This position is responsible for leading the Architectural Review Committee and to be the communication conduit with the Board of Directors. Additionally, the ARC Chair is responsible for sending violation letters on behalf of the Board of Directors and to notify the President when Board action is required regarding the levy of fines.

Covenants Amendments Committee

The covenants committee is responsible for managing the proposed amendments of the covenants.

​

Landscaping Committee

The landscaping committee is responsible for handling the landscaping contractors.

​

Playground Committee

The playground committee is responsible for handling the repairs, maintenance, and enhancements for the playground.

​

Pond Committee

The pond committee is responsible for handling maintenance issues with the pond.

​

Pool Committee

Monitors the pool and playground for maintenance issues, coordinates with the pool maintenance company, and establishes processes for HOA members to reserve time at the pool and playground for parties, etc.

​

Social Committee

Responsible for all social activities on behalf of the HOA.

​

Streetlight Committee

Responsible for periodically checking streetlights and contacting Cobb EMC for repairs.

​

Tennis Committee

Monitors the tennis courts for maintenance issues and coordinates with suppliers for court maintenance on behalf of the HOA.
